Champagne Freaks
2001 marked a milestone for Ulysse Nardin. The creative landscape was thin, Urwerk had been founded four years earlier but had only released their initial 101 & 102 orbital timepieces. MB&F was still on its way and the Opus Collection was in its infancy. It was the brainchild of two of the finest minds in horology at the time: the visionary owner of Ulysse Nardin Mr. Rolf Schnyder and the brilliant technical Master Watchmaker, Dr. Ludwig Oechslin.
After almost two decades, the Freak has become a fully-fledged collection in its own right. Modern Freaks are seen by collectors as being part of a lineage that goes back to the early days avant-garde watchmaking. The Freak is more than a classic, it is a seminal timepiece in modern-day Haute Horlogerie. Which is why we’re freaking excited to announce our take on the Freak X. Featuring a distinct champagne dial and Gold Carbonium® case with shimmering black and gold waves. Limited to 30.
